Water: A Photographic Portrait

A new photographic portrait of water on Earth, in so many of its forms, by landscape photographer Stephen Johnson.

From the introduction:

Water is life. This Earth is largely a water planet. Even after living next to the sea for almost 40 years, I continue to be mesmerized by the ebb and flow of the surf and rhythmic rise and fall of the sea beyond. I’ve often said that somehow we know we came from the sea, but that’s intuition bolstered by current evolutionary theory. There is something even more essential than either notion, something so deep inside that it feels beyond words.
